The North Weald Art Group
The North Weald Art Group are delighted to be part of Reigate Summer Festival this year. The group will be displaying an exciting collection of landscapes, abstracts, still-life and portraits by their members, upstairs in Caffe Nero over the festival weekend.
They are a group of friendly artists and art lovers from Reigate and the surrounding areas. New members are always welcome - from professional to keen amateur or art lover. The group meets for demonstrations, workshops, outdoor painting and gallery visits. Every year they have an exhibition of their work at Denbies. Reigate Goes POP! @ Adams Gallery
Throughout the Festival Weekend Adam's Gallery will be hosting an exhibition celebrating the defining movement of Pop Art.
A curated exhibition of landmark works by leading figures of the 20th-century Pop Art movement. The show features pieces by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Eduardo Paolozzi, Peter Phillips, Robert Rauschenberg and other seminal artists.

The North Weald Art Group are delighted to be part of Reigate Summer Festival this year. The group will be displaying an exciting collection of landscapes, abstracts, still-life and portraits by their members, upstairs in Caffe Nero over the festival weekend.

East Surrey Textile Group Workshop for teens: an introduction to applique and simple embroidery
East Surrey Textile Group is a friendly and enthusiastic group of stitchers (from beginners to very experienced) with a great programme of speakers and workshops for all things textile related.
They run a thriving group for young people between the ages of eight and sixteen, who meet on Saturdays about six times a year, getting involved with exciting craft and textile projects. For further information about the group, please visit the East Surrey Textile Group website.
We are delighted that the group will once again be holding two pop-in sessions at Reigate library on Saturday 20th June as part of Reigate Summer Festival. The teen's taster session will run from 10am-12pm, suitable for ages 12-17 years (participants must be accompanied by and adult).
Participants will learn how to stitch, with an emphasis on applique and simple embroidery, creating an embroidered fish design.
Spaces to attend the workshop are strictly limited (10 spaces only). To book a slot please email the Library to avoid disappointment.
Free entry but a small donation per person would be welcome to cover the costs of materials.
Acrylic Seascapes Painting
Come and escape with acrylics in this 90 minute painting workshop. Local artist Kiri from Kiri Jones ART, will guide you in creating a series of inspiring seascapes as pictures to take home!
No experience necessary, just a desire to have a go at acrylic painting in a supportive space.
Suitable for 16yrs+. All materials will be provided, but it's recommended participants bring an apron or old shirt with them.

The adult taster session will run from 2pm-4pm, focusing on textile embroidery, involving simple applique and embellishment with threads, creating an embroidered teapot design.

Reigate College Art Exhibition (Surrey Artists’ Open Studios)
Reigate College will be showcasing the exceptional talent of around 40 students' work as part of Surrey Artists' Open Studios.
Head to the main hall within Reigate Community Centre, down the corridor to the left of Reception. Entrance is free and all are welcome!
Limited edition prints of all artworks being exhibited will be available for sale.
Summer Junk Wreaths – Family Art Workshop
Bring your grown up and come and make a vibrant Summer Junk Wreath to celebrate the festival, in this 90 minute family art workshop. Local artist Kiri from Kiri Jones ART will show you how to have fun with junk and create a wreath to take home!
No experience necessary, just come and have fun! All children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for ages 5 years +.
All materials will be provided.
Cost: £20 per wreath* / £8 per extra sibling
(* NB Accompanying adults do not have to book a ticket, unless they also wish to make a wreath).

Lino Printing Workshop
Chantelle Shekyls, a Director at Reigate College, will be running a Lino Print Workshop to encourage more people to take up this hugely rewarding print form, that can easily be continued from home, with just a little know-how and a few essential items!
Suitable for beginners and those who’ve done some lino printing before, aged 14 and above.
Produce six hand-printed cards to take home with you, using either your own design or one provided.

Patchwork Scrap Bag Making – Family Workshop
Come and make your own fun and functional bag using recycled fabric at this textiles workshop led by the team from Knights Haberdashery.
Suitable for 8yrs+ and adults.
All under 16yrs must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note use will be made of sewing machines, all participants under 16yrs must be supervised at all times.
All materials will be provided, no experience necessary.
