Historical Photographic Display
Come and explore Reigate of the past with a photographic display kindly curated by Glyn Mundy, in conjunction with Redhill Philatelic Society. See how many locations you can recognise, and do you know why you may have got a little damp if you'd once visited the spot where the library now stands?
Priory Museum Room and Holbein Hall opening
A rare opportunity to come and view the Museum Room and Holbein Hall at Reigate Priory. Reigate Priory is a grade 1 listed building set in 65 acres of open parkland. In 1541 Henry VIII granted the Manor and Priory of Reigate to Lord William Howard, uncle of his fifth wife Catherine Howard. The museum has a collection of local history and domestic items as well as period costumes. The Holbein Hall features a magnificent Tudor fireplace and beautiful 18th century staircase, as well as artworks painted on the walls and heraldic cartouches in the corners of the ceiling.
The Priory will be opened to the public as a special concession on the festival Saturday, from 10am to 4pm. Don't miss it!
