As part of the launch evening for Reigate Summer Festival, come along to the Community Stage and enjoy an evening of live music, choral, drama and spoken word performances from artists across the Franklin Music and Drama community!
Expect a variety of musical pieces; singing from both Franklin Voices and Franklin Youth Choir and theatrical excerpts and scenes from members of Franklin Drama Group. A vibrant concert for all to enjoy and really feel in the Reigate Summer Festival spirit!

Comedy Workshop

Run by Comedy Cottage
A rare chance to learn some tricks of the trade from award winning comedy experts, for those who fancy trying their hand at stand-up, or anyone just wanting to improve their public speaking or work presentations – all while having a fun day learning in the beautiful grounds of Reigate Priory Football Club.
The day will culminate with participants performing a showcase of what they've learnt during the workshop. You're encouraged to invite family and friends to come and watch and support you, while you try out newly written jokes, anecdotes and funny stories (with punchlines). You'll hopefully feel more confident and empowered in your new-found skills and more willing to do something out of your comfort zone!
This special one-day workshop will teach participants how to structure stories, deliver presentations (with humour) and find their own funny.
WARNING: Laughter reduces anxiety and stress by releasing endorphins (our body's natural pain killer), dopamine (which makes us happy), serotonin (mother nature's antidepressant) and oxytocin (the love hormone).
Workshop time: 10-4pm with an hour lunch/reflecting and writing period. Tea/coffee/biscuits will be provided, but please bring your own lunch.
Showcase for friends and family: 7-9.30pm
Age 15 years+
Places are extremely limited, booking essential.
Cost for the day: £60 full price/ £40* concession tickets (concession tickets for students/senior citizens or the disabled*). Please note TicketSource adds a booking fee to the cost of the tickets when booking.

Enjoy a friendly session of drama games, improvisation, text work and collaborative scene-building from the team who run the weekly Franklin Drama Club for Adults! The session is open to anyone who would like to have a go at drama, or re-discover it in a relaxed and fun environment.

Join Drama Kids for a fun-filled, family-friendly workshop at the Reigate Summer Festival! Explore creative drama through improvisations, mimes, and scripts.
At Drama Kids, we build confidence, communication, and teamwork using a structured curriculum led by trained teachers. No experience needed—just bring energy and imagination!
Perfect for ages 5–12 and their grown-ups, this special festival interactive session promises laughter, creativity, and a chance to shine. Spaces are limited, so book early!
All children must be accompanied by an adult or older sibling (16yrs+).
The workshop will take place downstairs in Somers Hall.

Reigate College Musical Theatre Showcase
Reigate College students will perform a medley of songs from Into the Woods.
Into the Woods is a musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine that intertwines Brothers Grimm fairy tales - including Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Little Red Riding Hood - with a new story about a Baker and his Wife seeking to lift a curse and have a child. The songs explore the consequences of wishes and the reality of life after 'happily ever after.'
Doors will open at the Community Stage at Reigate Methodist Church 15 minutes before the published start time.
Entrance is free and seats offered on a first come, first served basis.

Reigate Summer Festival is delighted to welcome SingSpace Reigate Musical Theatre Choir to the Community Stage this year. The choir consists of 70 members from beginners, to seasoned musical theatre singers and has been running since 2024.
Led by Monica MacLeod, come and enjoy a programme of beautiful tunes from West End and Broadway shows.
